Vehicle-Free Day Announcement | 29 Nov 2025 (13 Mangsir 2082) Lalitpur Metropolitan City Office Project, under the City Pride Project, Pulchowk, supported by Nepal Cycle Society, announces the trial implementation of a Vehicle-Free Zone in the Patan Durbar Area. This initiative aims to promote a safer, cleaner, and more pedestrian-friendly heritage environment. Your support and cooperation are highly appreciated!
1. One-Way & Restricted Access for Four-Wheelers Starting: 2082-08-08 | Time: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Restrictions:
• Entry for four-wheelers is prohibited from Ikhalakhu Chowk to Mahapal.
• Tinchhu Galli: Two-wheelers may exit via Haugall → Ikhalakhu; four-wheelers prohibited.
2. Vehicle-Free Zone Trial (Full Restriction) Starting: 2082-08-13
Phase 1 – Locations:
• Momdugalli
• Gaurishankar Temple Patko → Wolkhu Ganesh Temple
• Bhimsensthan Temple → Swotha Narayan Temple
• Swotha Chowk → Kwalkhu Chowk
Dates & Times:
• Mangsir 13, 17, 20 → 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Mangsir 24, 27 → 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Phase 2 – Locations:
• Tinchhu Galli
• Mangalbazar Chowk → Chakrabahil Chowk
Dates & Times:
• Poush 5, 9, 12 → 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Poush 16, 19 → 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
